Announcing The 2023 Gannett Foundation National Merit Scholarship Program

For high school juniors who will be completing or leaving high school and entering college in the fall of 2023.

This scholarship program was established by Gannett Foundation, Inc. for the children of full-time employees of Gannett Co. Inc. and its subsidiaries. The program is administered by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, an independent 501c3 organization.

To participate in the program, students must take the qualifying test, the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), in the specified year of their high school program. Students who plan to spend the usual four years in high school (grades 9 through 12) before entering college full time must take the PSAT/NMSQT in the third year (grade 11/junior year).
